ONGOING CITATION WORK

The audit found the gaps.
This is the work of closing them.

Questions where a competitor gets named and you don’t. Claims about your business that stopped being true two years ago. Answers no one has written down properly anywhere. We work through them, month by month, and report what actually moved.

Talk about your gap list → See the whole service

In short: An AI visibility audit produces a list of gaps. This is the retainer that works through that list, re-tests on a fixed schedule, and tells you what changed. Nobody can guarantee an assistant will mention you. What we commit to is doing the work that plausibly influences citation, and reporting the result straight.

Four kinds of gap, four different fixes

An audit ends with a spreadsheet. Sixty or so questions your buyers actually ask, run across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, with a note beside each one: did you appear, who did, and what was said about you. That spreadsheet is the input to this work, not the output. Reading it closely, almost every row falls into one of four buckets, and mixing up which bucket a row belongs in wastes a month.

A competitor answers it, you don’t
Someone published a direct answer and you published a brochure. The fix is a page, or a section of one, that answers the question more specifically than the source currently being pulled. Specificity is the lever here, not length.
What is said about you is out of date
Old pricing. A service you stopped offering. An office you left. Assistants repeat whatever is indexed and echoed elsewhere, so correcting this means fixing your own pages and then chasing the third-party listings and directory entries feeding the same claim.
Nobody has answered it anywhere
The assistant hedges, waffles, or answers from first principles. That is an opening. It is also the slowest bucket to pay off, because a genuinely new answer has to get crawled, indexed and then trusted before it gets quoted.
You appear, but framed wrong
Named as the cheap option when you are not. Grouped with firms you never compete against. This is half your own pages, half other people’s, and it is usually fixed by making your positioning explicit somewhere a machine can read it rather than implied through design.

What a month looks like

Work comes off the gap list in priority order. Priority means commercial value first, then how fixable the gap looks, and we argue about that order with you rather than deciding it quietly. A month usually holds two or three substantial page rewrites, a handful of smaller corrections, and whatever off-site cleanup the stale-claim rows demand.

Then we re-run the tests. Same prompt wording as the audit, same assistants, several fresh sessions per prompt rather than one. That last part matters more than it sounds. Ask the same question twice and you can get two different answers, so a single run proves nothing in either direction. Running each prompt repeatedly is the only way to separate a real change from noise, and it is also the reason we can tell you when a result you liked was probably just luck.

The report shows the current state against the baseline, the changes shipped since the last one with dates, and a short read on whether the two look connected. Sometimes they clearly do. Often it is ambiguous. We say which.

Why nobody can promise you a mention

There is no published ranking algorithm for any of these systems. There is no console, no submission form, no verified list of factors. What exists is a set of reasonable inferences: pages that state an answer plainly get quoted more than pages that bury it, sources cited by other sources get pulled more often, crawlers that are blocked cannot read anything at all. Those inferences are the basis of the work, and they are inferences.

On top of that, output varies by session, by phrasing, by whether the assistant chose to search the live web that time, and by which model version answered. A model update can undo three months of visible progress overnight and nobody gets a warning. Anyone selling you a guaranteed placement in ChatGPT is either misunderstanding the system or counting on you not to check.

So the commitment is narrower and, we think, more useful. We do the work that plausibly influences citation. We measure the same way every time. And when a month produces nothing, the report says nothing moved, in those words, with our best guess as to why.

What we won’t do

We won’t guarantee a citation, a position, or a share of voice
Not in writing, not verbally, not as a soft target in a proposal. We can commit to the work and to how it is measured. If a guaranteed outcome is what you need to sign, this is the wrong retainer and we would rather say so now than manage the disappointment later.
We won’t re-run prompts until one of them flatters us
The prompt set is fixed at the audit and changes only when the business does, with every change logged and dated in the report. Screenshotting the one session out of ten where you got named is the easiest trick in this field and it makes the whole measurement worthless.
We won’t manufacture the sources that cite you
No networks of thin sites built to quote you, no invented reviews, no listings on directories that exist only to be scraped. It sometimes works for a while. It is also the kind of thing that gets cleaned up in a single index update, and you keep the reputation damage afterwards.

Bring us the gap list. We’ll tell you which rows are worth the money.

If you already have an audit, send it. If you don’t, that is where this starts. Either way the first conversation is about which gaps are genuinely closeable, not about how many we can bill for.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long before anything changes?

It depends on the kind of gap. A correction to a page that is already indexed and already gets pulled can show up within a few weeks. A brand new answer to a question nobody has covered often takes several months, because it has to be crawled, indexed and then repeated elsewhere before assistants treat it as a source. The first re-test after a month is a signal, not a verdict.

Does the same work apply to Gemini, Perplexity and Claude?

Broadly yes, but they do not all retrieve the same way. Some lean heavily on live web search, others answer more from training data or a connected index. That means a fix can appear quickly in a search-backed assistant and lag for months in one answering from what it already learned. We test all of them so you can see the difference rather than assume it.

Do we need an audit first?

Yes, or something equivalent that gives a dated baseline. Without one there is no way to tell an improvement from ordinary session variation, and no defensible answer to the question of what you were paying for. If you have run your own prompt testing and kept the records, we will work from that.

Can you prove a specific change caused an improvement?

Almost never with certainty, and we do not claim otherwise. What we can show is a fixed prompt set, repeated runs to smooth out session noise, and a dated log of every change shipped. Where the timing lines up cleanly we say it looks connected. Where it does not, we say that too.
