      Job Responsivilities:

      • Designs and creates user content in text, graphics, and video that is easy to locate and meet search engine optimization (SEO) standards.
      • Converts and improves  old ontent into engaging digital content.
      • Develops and maintains accessible, usable, and accurate digital material for complicated or evolving products.
      • Creates content to help users successfully install, configure, use, and maintain Vertex software products.
      • Design and create digital content for a variety of audiences, including tax professionals, integrators, programmers, database administrators, and system administrators.
      • Collaborates with Product Management, Product Owners, and Product Designers to gather requirements for new features and create user interface content.
      • Works effectively with agile engineering teams.
      • Analyze the task, the audience, and the necessity.
      • Writes and arranges content to satisfy the demands of consumers and project requirements while adhering to Vertex standards.
      • Receives and applies feedback from editors and subject matter experts.
      • Collaborates successfully with a multidisciplinary scrum team.
      • Delivers high-quality content on schedule, within scope, and in many formats.
      • Uses numerous tools (CMS, graphics tools) to provide deliverables in a variety of formats (text, photos, videos, knowledge base).
      • Applies the concepts of performance-centric information designs to contents.
      • Utilizes topic-based (organized) authoring approaches to generate modular content and self-contained articles.
      • Maintains existing deliverables in various formats (HTML help, digital publications).
      • Develops content for end users, system administrators, and database administrators.
      • Follows departmental content development standards, methods, and processes.
      • Maintains awareness of industry trends by self-study, attendance at conferences and seminars, and participation in professional organizations.
      • Participate in projects and other tasks as given.

      Skill & Experience:

      • Writing talent in User Experience (UX), with a track record of producing clear, concise, error-free content.
      • Excellent technical writing skills with a diverse variety of user content categories, including user interface content, help, operational, technical, and reference guides, knowledge articles, and performance support content such as task aids.
      • Experienced at writing content for search engine optimization (SEO).
      • A basic understanding of web content design principles is essential.
      • Advanced expertise in authoring and graphics preparation packages/tools, such as Microsoft Office and SnagIt.
      • Maintaining realistic project planning requires strong organizational skills.
      • Proven experience with software defect tools and commercial applications.
      • Ability to collaborate with a varied local and global workforce.
      • Ability to be patient with software development and release schedules/processes that can be vague and flexible.
      • Ability to collaborate, persevere, and follow up with busy SMEs (subject matter experts).
      • Ability to use professional concepts, expertise, and company objectives to conduct in-depth analyses of events or data in order to solve complex problems in novel ways.
      • Ability to work independently (latitude for decision-making).
      • Ability to network with essential contacts outside one’s own field of expertise.
      • Ability to listen, understand, and communicate information.
      • Ability to use a technical writing approach to develop clear and thorough software documentation.
      • Ability to critically evaluate source materials in order to identify content that is relevant to users.
      • Ability to conduct face-to-face interviews and interactions with subject matter experts in order to grasp product solutions.
      • Ability to arrange and structure content in a way that assists clients in achieving their objectives.
      • Capability to employ a variety of authoring, drawing, picture manipulation, and screen recording tools.
      • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presenting, and facilitation abilities are required.
      • Must be outcome-oriented and customer-focused.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

      Education & Training:

      • Bachelor’s degree in English or an equivalent qualification.
      • 2+ years of cumulative, related writing experience.
      • Training or professional experience in computer programming, relational databases, information technology, or web-based applications.
      • Or a comparable combination of education and/or experience.
