Position Overview:

Abedin Tech is on the search for a versatile and experienced creative graphics designer who will oversee the graphic design for a large client.  

This position requires great creativity, an exceptionally keen sense of detail, and both leadership skills to engage a team as well as negotiation skills in terms of timelines and demands from clients.

The suitable candidate will have a broad perspective and a passion for packaging design, typography, and precise file management. This motion graphics designer role will specialize on consumer-packaged goods while also creating attractive visuals for print/catalog, e-commerce, and other marketing purposes. In addition, the candidate will have an extensive technical understanding of developing pre-press ready artwork, color theory, and picture editing, including color corrections and manipulation.

The freelance graphics designer candidate will collaborate closely with the creative team, assist in the photo studio, and report directly to the art director. This is not remote graphics designer jobs but a complete on-site job.

Objectives for This Position:

• Review design briefs to establish requirements.
• Create visualizations depending on requirements.
• Create preliminary drafts and convey ideas.
• Develop graphics, logos, and other designs with Adobe software.
• For every visual, use the appropriate layout and color scheme.
• Create the final design in collaboration with copywriters and the creative director.
• After you have feedback, revise your designs.
• Ensure that the finished graphics and layouts are visually appealing and consistent with the brand.

Job Responsivilities:

• Skillfully interpret briefs and provide innovative, artistic concepts and illustrations for packaging design and promotional materials.
• Understand and design for the complexities of packaging and print systems, as well as how to design for and maintain visual consistency across numerous brands and product categories.
• Create B2B materials such as sell sheets, catalogs, big format trade show visuals and planograms, and dealer merchandising.
• Assist with photography post-production, such as color correction, editing, and raw file manipulation for print and e-commerce output while retaining the brand’s style and feel.
• Work at the photography studio, supporting the Art Director with photo and video shoots.
• Be able to operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative setting that requires good communication and organizing abilities.
• Manage the packaging development process from concept to final mechanicals.
• Create product packaging die lines with the ability to export files to printer specs.
• Review and approve print production samples, and communicate any modifications explicitly to ensure that each project is completed on time.
• Check the functionality of the package as well as the materials, inks, adhesives, and coatings to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain and ensure that brand requirements are followed throughout packaging and all print collateral.
• Create and strengthen brand assets, such as style and usage instructions for various brands and product categories.

Skill & Experience:

• Experience: At least two years of experience in a creative leadership role, particularly in a fast-paced design setting, working directly with clients.
• Creativity: Proven ability to produce unique ideas and solutions that are both visually appealing and logistically sound.
• Attention to Detail: Has an exceptional eye for detail and is committed to providing faultless work.
• Critical thinking: The willingness to see the big picture of the client’s vision and how it connects to goals and deliverables.
• Communication Skills: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to effectively express creative thoughts and tactics to clients and team members.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with a creative team, as well as a successful track record in project management.
• Time Management: The ability to properly manage various projects and deadlines while maintaining great organizational and time management skills.
• Technical Skills: Experience with design applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or equivalent tools. Having experience with project management software is advantageous.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, marketing, or a related profession. Advanced degrees or certifications in design or leadership are beneficial.
